BALL BEARING TURNTABLES
In order to establish a rotatable connection between the bogie and the
vehicle frame, ball pivot bearings or ball bearing
turntables are required. Typical areas of application are truck trailers and
agricultural vehicles. Ball bearing turntables can be
swiveled 360 °, but in normal operation the swivel range is less than 180 °. A
ball bearing assembly is primarily designed for axial loads. Radial loads occur
to a small extent. They play a subordinate role on turntable chassis.
turntables are therefore not suitable
for the operation of vehicles or applications with high radial loads or
centrifugal forces!
